Training Your Deutsch-Drahthaar
Puppy training should start as soon as your puppy comes home. Whether your puppy will be training to be the best hunting dog ever or for dazzling judges at our JGHV tests, it helps to have a plan and goals to guide you along your training journey. Expose the puppy to birds and water. Teach the puppy to put its nose to the ground on the track command. Enroll the pup in an obedience class or take him hunting. The MWN Chapter has a Training Coordinator that may be able to assist you in your training. They may facilitate training days or they could connect you with other chapter members to train together.
